When you buy from a small company, an actual person does a little happy dance!

West Coast Style. West Coast Made.

BC Makers Collective is a curated online shop for west-coast home furnishings, created by local artisans, shipped directly from them, to you.

Hello + Welcome!

We are the owners of BC Makers Collective, Elle & Wendy! Swipe right to learn more about us... you know you want to!

Wendy’s career focus started in design, switched to having kids, and now it’s a nice mix of designing and “mom-ing”. She graduated from Interior Design, before leaving Ontario and studied Holistic Nutrition and reiki, before returning to interior design in 2016. Now she’s one of those people that bakes muffins in the night when sleep is elusive, sneaks away from the kids for trail runs in the trees as often as she can, and designs custom body jewelry when she’s not busy running her business, and her home.

Elle is a dog mom first, then a designer. She loves hiking in the lush forests around Squamish when she’s not creating in the solitude of her studio (aka her garage), and is a big fan of a craft beer, and a few laughs on a sunny patio. She studied Interior Design at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and relocated to British Columbia for love in 2015, and stayed because she realized what so many know: the west-coast really is the best coast.

Maughan Made-Libelle Coffee Table

Maughan Made

Each Maughan Made piece is sparked by a fresh perspective and quickly transforms into a functional and inspired creation that can also be appreciated for its beauty alone. Trained in a classic, hand-tool focussed style, Jake Maughan creates furniture designed to be passed down and enjoyed for generations.

Eileen Kiyonaga Artworks

Eileen is a multidisciplinary artist that uses wood and watercolour to communicate the fluid lines and natural geometries she finds so appealing in nature.

Loose Leaf Atlas

Loose leaf atlas was founded on the idea to source high quality wood waste from backwoods logging sites to urban streets. With an intention to eventually work with the material from site to studio, Kait currently also sources pre-dried and cut wood from local and ethical sources.
