Today's blog post is a bit outside the realm of design, but still talks about decorative elements that we use to draw up the perfect, relaxation bath!
.
Whether you are feeling stressed and need a way to calm your soul or are trying to escape the heat and looking for a cool place to soak; we have drawn (see what I did there?!) up some tips to help you get the most out of your time in the tub.
.
Essential Oils - these could be added directly to the water, infused in dreamy bath salts or diffused through a diffuser; which ever way you chose to use them, they are a key ingredient to a soothing soak. Some of our favourite bath time oils are lavender, geranium and sandalwood; all of these scents pair well with clary sage.
*If you are feeling adventurous and want to try other scents, make sure you do your research before adding to your bath to make sure you aren't using something that could be irritating to your skin!*
.
Greenery - we are big on having greenery in every room and this includes the bathroom! Plants improve the air quality and they love the moisture. Not great with plants? How about adding a little vase (like these adorable bud vases) with a flower stem or two; flowers are known to boost moods and also promote relaxation.
.
Candles - what is more relaxing then bathing by candlelight? Look for scented natural candles (like these from studio 501 handmade), that compliment your essential oils.
.
A Good Book - I am an avid reader, so taking a soak, while reading a good book, is the ultimate way to unwind!
.
A Cuppa - this could be a cup of soothing herbal tea or a delicious glass of wine; just depends on what kind of day you have had!
.
Bath Tray - this is the final element to turning your bath into an oasis! Having a place to hold all of your bath time essentials is definitely key! Check out these gorgeous caddy's from Wyn & Wood, they are perfect for completing your bathroom retreat!
