Laura Jayne Lettering | Art

I was at university in Birmingham, UK studying Visual Communication in 2011. I decided the specialism for my degree would be illustration and while studying began my business creating cute watercolour characters for greeting cards. I sold cards locally for a few years and taught myself the art of modern hand lettering. With more time on my hands earlier this year I decided it was time to dive head first back into illustration and design, combined with my newfound love of hand lettering.
I now work on a range of products from prints to cards, wedding stationery to logos. I'm inspired by our beautiful surroundings here in the Coast Mountains with florals and nature featuring heavily in my work. My designs are influenced by traditional watercolour painting and are all digitally created using just an iPad!
I lived in Whistler for nearly three years and made the move to Pemberton just over two years ago now with my boyfriend and our big fluff ball of a dog, Rae.
