Studio a ceramics is small batch ceramics made by me, Allysha Hurd, in beautiful Vancouver BC.

One of the many things I love about ceramics is that it can bring art and beauty into everyday life and be enjoyed not just with the eye but also with the touch. Each piece creates an experience with the maker and the user, that allows us to slow down, enjoy the moment and appreciate the little things, and can continue to do so for many years.

I grew up on Vancouver Island and moved to the city of Vancouver as a teenager. I then went on to get my BFA at Emily Carr University and have been managing and teaching at a ceramic studio in Vancouver ever since. When I’m not in the studio, I like to get outside: to the mountains, the ocean and maybe even enjoy a tasty meal and a cold pint!
